Filipino American racing sensation Bianca Bustamante is counting down the days to her much-anticipated GB3 Championship debut at the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.
The 20-year-old driver is set to hit the track in April 2025, marking a major milestone in her motorsport career as she competes with Elite Motorsport.
Taking to Instagram, Bustamante shared a throwback video of her 17-year-old self behind the wheel of an F4 single-seater car for the first time.
In the clip, she reflected on how far she has come since that moment. “I was 45 kg underweight and could barely complete two laps without my arms giving out,” she recalled.

Now, just a month away from her GB3 debut, Bustamante expressed her gratitude and determination.
“It’s hard to believe that three years have passed since then. I wish I could express in words the countless hours and tireless dedication I’ve poured into reaching this point,” she wrote.

Bustamante, the first Filipina McLaren Development driver, highlighted the physical and mental challenges she overcame, along with the relentless media and sponsorship efforts needed to fund her career.
Following the conclusion of her stint with McLaren’s Driver Development Program, Bustamante is embracing this new chapter with Elite Motorsport.
The GB3 Championship, recognized as a crucial stepping stone to higher-tier single-seater racing, presents a prime opportunity for her to showcase her skills on the European circuit.
As she prepares for Round 1 at Silverstone, Bustamante remains driven by her roots, ending her post with a powerful rallying cry: “Let’s gooo! Laban Pilipinas!”
