SB19’s momentum just keeps on growing internationally with another charting success as their latest single, “Dam,” achieves remarkable milestones within a week of its release.
Beyond dominating the digital sales chart, “Dam” has propelled the P-pop Kings onto the United Kingdom’s music scene for the first time.
The song made an impressive debut on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts, marking the group’s entry into the UK market.
According to Forbes, among all the new chart entries this week, “Dam” stands out as the highest-ranking debut, surpassed only by Lola Young’s “Messy,” Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club,” and “Apt.,” the record breaking collaboration between Blackpink’s Rosé and Bruno Mars.
The track, which dropped on Feb. 28, has also officially secured the No. 1 spot on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart – a historic feat that makes SB19 the first Filipino act to lead the ranking. The achievement was confirmed by Billboard, solidifying the P-pop powerhouse’s international breakthrough.
Serving as a pre-release track from their upcoming EP, “Simula at Wakas,” set for an April release, “Dam” signals a new chapter for SB19 as they expand their reach across the international music industry.
The single’s rapid success underscores their growing global influence and the dedicated support of their ever-expanding fanbase, A’TIN.
As their momentum builds, SB19 is gearing up for their “Simula at Wakas” World Tour, which is set to launch on May 31 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
This monumental show will mark their performance at one of the country’s largest venues before they take their music across Asia, the Middle East and North America.
Notable tour stops include Taipei on June 29 and Singapore on Aug. 24, with North American dates in major cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Temecula and Honolulu.
Further cementing their impact, SB19’s journey will also be chronicled on the big screen. Their documentary “Pagtatag!” is slated for its international premiere at the Osaka Asian Film Festival, with screenings scheduled for March 16 and March 25 at Theatre Umeda Cinema 4 in Osaka, Japan.
