Bruno Mars has once again proven his dominance in the music industry in terms of digital streams.
He has set a new benchmark on Spotify with 150 million monthly listeners as of January 2025.
This milestone, announced by the streaming platform on Jan. 27, makes the “It Will Rain” artist the first artist in Spotify history to achieve such a feat.
Currently, he reigns as the platform’s number one artist, which he also did in December 2024 with 140 million monthly listeners since then.
In an Instagram story (now expired), Mars shared the news of his milestone with a quirky caption, writing, “Keep streaming! I’ll be out of debt in no time.”
The Filipino American superstar’s remarkable achievement comes on the heels of other record-breaking moments, two collaborative hits in a row.
His collaboration with Lady Gaga, “Die With a Smile,” recently became the fastest track to hit one billion streams on Spotify.
Not long after, his song “APT.,” featuring Blackpink’s Rosé, followed suit, securing the top two fastest songs to reach the billion-stream milestone.
Despite not releasing any solo tracks in 2024, Mars’ collaborative ventures have kept him at the forefront of the global music scene.
From “Die With a Smile” to “APT.,” his ability to craft unforgettable hits has left fans worldwide singing along and setting these tracks on endless repeat.
Adding to the excitement, Mars is turning up the heat with another collaboration.
His latest track, “Fat, Juicy & Wet,” features American rapper Sexyy Red and includes surprise appearances from Lady Gaga and Rosé.
The star-studded music video is already generating buzz, with Gaga’s involvement following her Grammy-nominated collaboration with Mars on their hit song.
Rosé’s cameo further highlights her growing impact in the music industry. The Blackpink member’s work with Mars has shattered barriers – including her historic achievement as the first K-pop artist to top the Apple Music Top 100 Global Chart with “APT” and another Guinness World Record with the same song.
As the 2025 Grammy Awards approach on Feb. 1, fans eagerly await to see if Mars and Gaga will take home the coveted Song of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance awards for “Die With a Smile.”
