Reflecting on a year of growth, triumphs and challenges, Bianca Bustamante closed out 2024 with a year-end post that summarized the essence of her journey in F1 Academy. 

The Filipino American racing star shared her gratitude and excitement for what’s to come, following a monumental year that saw her rise through the ranks in motorsports.

“2024 felt surreal,” Bustamante wrote, expressing just how extraordinary the year had been for her. “It’s a year me and my manager [Darryl O’Young] only used to dream about.”

Despite the many obstacles she faced, particularly the financial hurdles that often accompany a career in racing, the first Filipina McLaren Development driver’s dedication and determination paid off.

She acknowledged the struggles of surviving in a sport that demands immense financial support, but highlighted how her team’s tireless effort and the support of her sponsors made her dreams possible.

Through persistence, Bustamante was able to secure vital sponsorships, working with some of the world’s leading companies.

Her success this year wasn’t just about racing on the track as it was also about the behind-the-scenes work that allowed her to reach such remarkable milestones.

She also took a moment to thank her partners, calling them “family” and recognizing their role in her success.

“They’re the reason I get to do what I do, why I can afford to dream,” she shared, a testament to the importance of the support network that has rallied behind her.

Looking ahead, Bustamante is filled with excitement for the future. “2025 looks bright as ever,” she wrote, noting that the upcoming year would be packed with testing, racing and non-stop training. 

But before diving into the next chapter, she reflected on how far she has come.

“Here’s to remembering the 20 things that make my heart warm thinking back to 3 years ago when I nearly gave up,” she wrote, signaling how much personal growth she has experienced since that moment of doubt.

In closing, Bustamante bid farewell to 2024 with a sense of gratitude and love.

“Peace out 2024, you were so loved,” she said, emphasizing the profound impact the year had on her. “You made me love, cry, hate. But most of all, you helped me find pieces of myself in all the places I traveled, the tracks I raced, and the people I met.”

Charging into 2025 with relentless determination, Bianca Bustamante is set to conquer the next stage of her racing career.

After a stellar two-year journey with the F1 Academy, the Filipino American motorsport star is gearing up to join the GB3 Championship with Elite Motorsport, marking a significant leap forward in her pursuit of excellence.
