With the new season comes a roster of fresh faces entering the deadly game for the first time. Among them is Player 333, who has quickly won over viewers with his charm and presence – although, he’s a bit of a “red flag” here.

Player 333 is portrayed by K-pop idol and actor Im Si-wan. As a member of the South Korean boy band ZE:A and its sub-unit ZE:A Five, Si-wan has carved out an impressive acting career, becoming an icon through his fan-favorite roles in several K-dramas through the years.

‘Run On’

K-drama enthusiasts often hail Si-wan’s portrayal of Ki Seon-gyeom in “Run On” as one of the “greenest flag” characters in K-drama history.

Si-wan shines as a former track star who begins to chart a new path in life, guided by his heart after meeting a compassionate film translator.

The series also stars Shin Sekyung, Kang Tae-oh and SNSD’s Sooyoung.

‘Strangers from Hell’

From playing the “greenest flag” to tackling a chilling and psychologically complex role, Si-wan proves his range as an actor.

In the psychological thriller Strangers from Hell,” he takes on the role of a young man who moves into an eerie apartment complex.

What starts as an attempt to save money quickly spirals into a nightmare as he encounters unsettling neighbors and unexplainable noises. Si-wan’s portrayal of fear and paranoia keeps viewers on edge.

The finale episode? Mind blowing!

‘Summer Strike’

If you’re in the mood for a comfort drama, Summer Strike,” with Si-wan and Seolhyun, is a hidden gem that deserves more attention.

This 2022 K-drama, available on Netflix, offers a peaceful coastal setting and a gentle, heartwarming storyline.

It centers on Yeo-reum (Seolhyun), who, after the double blow of being dumped by her boyfriend and losing her mother in an accident, decides to escape to a small village with the intention of taking a break from everything.

With its calming atmosphere and relatable characters, “Summer Strike” is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a soothing escape. And Si-wan’s back as a “green flag” character.

‘Unlocked’

While not a series, “Unlocked” is a film that once again showcases Si-wan’s spine-chilling abilities. In this thriller, he plays a truly unsettling character, turning into a total psycho.

The story follows a woman whose life is completely upended when a dangerous man gains access to her lost cell phone and uses it to track her every move.

With each project, Player 333 plays them well, proving that he’s not just a K-pop idol turned actor as he’s also a storyteller who brings every character to life in unforgettable ways.
