‘Share to TikTok’ lets you post tracks from Apple Music, Spotify
Share your favorite songs like never before on TikTok.
The platform has transformed the way music is discovered as it allows both mainstream hits and indie gems to break through to massive audiences.
Independent artists, in particular, have found a unique opportunity to showcase their talents, with songs that might have otherwise flown under the radar suddenly going viral.
Now with the latest TikTok feature, the platform has taken music discovery to new heights.
The new “Share to TikTok” feature lets you instantly share your go-to songs, albums, playlists or even podcasts from Apple Music and Spotify directly to TikTok.
This update expands the ways users can creatively express their music taste on TikTok and aims to foster stronger connections between artists and their audiences.
Here’s how it works
While jamming out to music on Apple Music or Spotify, simply hit the share button and post your favorite tunes to TikTok.
You can choose to share it on your feed for the world to see, or send it in a DM to a friend.
Plus, add a fun sticker to highlight the track, and when people tap it, they’ll be sent straight to the song on the streaming app.
With “Share to TikTok,” you’re not only sharing what you’re listening to, but you’re also helping your favorite tracks reach a wider audience.
TikTok’s Global Head of Music Business Development, Ole Obermann, highlighted the platform’s commitment to music discovery and artist promotion, describing “Share to TikTok” as a full-circle experience that enhances user interaction and promotes artists within the TikTok community.
He highlighted the success of TikTok’s previous music integration, “Add to Music App,” which generated hundreds of millions of track saves and billions of streams.
Now, “Share to TikTok” is set to further amplify these results by giving users more direct control over how they share music.
According to TikTok, this latest feature is all about making music discovery fun and interactive. It’s easy, it’s quick, and it connects you to your favorite songs and artists in a whole new way.
