Bianca Bustamante joins NEOM McLaren for Valencia Women’s Test
Filipino American racer Bianca Bustamante is making headlines as she gears up for an action-packed season ahead.
After an intense three days of testing at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the first Filipina McLaren Development driver is poised to return to London before heading to Monza for the highly anticipated Italian F4 race weekend.
In a series of Instagram posts, she reflected on her recent experiences, expressing her excitement and gratitude for the opportunities she’s been given.
“Still feels like a dream, past few weeks has been a whirlwind!” Bustamante shared, highlighting her collaboration with the NEOM McLaren Formula E team as she prepares for the Valencia test.
She is also gearing up for the Abu Dhabi test with ART Grand Prix in the F1 Academy, a significant step in her racing journey. Bustamante’s posts convey her passion for the sport, saying, “It’s been flat out, but I’ve absolutely been loving it. Always a step closer to my dreams.”
During her time in Abu Dhabi, Bustamante showcased her skills, finding promising pace on the first day of testing. “We’re back in papaya! Had such an amazing time driving around [Abu Dhabi GP] again,” she remarked.

The three days were filled with valuable insights as she worked closely with her team to refine her driving techniques and develop the car further. “Truly such valuable days of testing, two more to go,” she wrote, signaling her commitment to continuous improvement.
Wrapping up her successful testing stint, Bustamante expressed satisfaction with the progress made, stating, “Abu Dhabi Test in 15 secs… that’s a wrap! Such productive three days of driving! Lots of steps made and info gathered, will use all of this for when we come back in December to finish off the season”

As she prepares for the Valencia Women’s Test, Bustamante will be among the first to test the GEN3 Evo car with the NEOM McLaren team.
“I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel of a GEN3 Evo car with the NEOM McLaren Formula E Team next month in Valencia,” she said in a McLaren press release, underlining her eagerness to further her racing career.
