“It’s a tribute to the strength found in being unapologetically yourself,” she wrote, celebrating how the pageant honors women who embrace their unique traits.

Through confidence, compassion and the power of individuality, Figueroa highlighted her commitment to inspiring positive change and advocating for diversity.

Figueroa aimed to bring the second Miss Asia Pacific International crown to the Philippines, a title first won by Sharifa Akeel in 2018. The last edition in 2019 saw Klyza Castro of the Philippines reach the Top 25.

Although Figueroa did not claim the crown, her powerful performance reinforced her role as an advocate for representation and diversity, particularly during the question-and-answer segment where she shared her experiences growing up in the diverse cultures of California and the Philippines.

She declared, “Wherever life takes me, I believe that what I keep in my heart is what takes me far, and that’s being a Filipina.”

The coveted Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 crown ultimately went to Janelis Leyba, a 20-year-old model from New York, making her the first American to win the title.

The top ranks also featured Karen Nunez of Mexico as first runner-up, Selena Ali of Belgium as second runner-up and Jennifer Prokop of Germany as fourth runner-up.
