Is Taylor Swift’s National Boyfriend Day merch drop a nod to Travis Kelce?
It’s that time of year again – National Boyfriend Day, celebrated every Oct. 3, gives people a chance to spotlight their partners, and this year, Taylor Swift made sure hers was no exception.
The Grammy-award winning sensation appears to have paid a subtle yet sweet tribute to her boyfriend, NFL star and Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, through a special merch drop that coincidentally landed on National Boyfriend Day.
On the day dedicated to celebrating significant others, the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker released a new merchandise collection tied to her latest album “The Tortured Poets Department.”
The timing of the drop didn’t go unnoticed by Swifties, her fans, who were quick to connect the dots when the Taylor Nation account shared the news on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
Fans were quick to notice that the collection, called “The Greatest in the League,” borrows a line from the album’s track “The Alchemy,” a song many speculate is about her blossoming relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
The merch includes cozy sweatshirts and sweatpants that feature the album’s aesthetic, with a neutral palette of black, white, beige and gray—perfect for fans looking to embrace Swift’s current era.
Swift and Kelce’s relationship has been in the spotlight for quite some time, with the couple being spotted together frequently. Swift even made a point to catch flights in time to support Kelce at his games.
Adding to the excitement, a new children’s book featuring NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce is set to debut on Oct. 15. The book gives readers a fun peek into Travis’ much-talked-about relationship with the Grammy-winning artist.
The book, titled “The Kelce Brothers: A Little Golden Book Biography,” brings the dynamic stories of Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, to a younger audience in an engaging, animated format.
