Jessica Alba, Demi Lovato, more stars attend Kamala Harris fundraiser
LOS ANGELES – Vice President Kamala Harris attended a campaign fundraiser in downtown Los Angeles Sunday — her first local fundraiser since replacing President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.
Harris arrived in Los Angeles on Saturday after speaking for nearly 30 minutes at a sold-out fundraiser at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco where tickets were up to $250,000 each.
At the LA fundraiser, Harris’ addressed hundreds of donors, including Lily Tomlin, Jessica Alba, Demi Lovato and Stevie Wonder, among others, according to the Times.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Harris’ campaign said it raised roughly $55 million at her two California fundraisers.
According to an invitation first obtained by Deadline, tickets ranged from $500 per person to as high as $1 million for four tickets, a reception with Harris, lunch and a photo.
Proceeds will benefit the Harris Victory Fund, which is a joint committee that includes Harris’ campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state Democratic parties.

Harris’ motorcade departed from her Brentwood residence at 1:55 p.m. Sunday en route to the J.W. Marriott at LA Live, where the fundraiser was being held. Lobster rolls, duck egg rolls and beef Wellington were served. Performers included Alanis Morissette and Halle Bailey.
Harris called Republican nominee and former President Donald Trump an “unserious man” and said a second Trump term would have dangerous ramifications on the future of the country, the paper reported. She also vowed to sign federal abortion rights protections.
After the fundraiser, Harris’ motorcade headed to Los Angeles International Airport at 5:23 p.m. Shortly after 6 p.m., she boarded Air Force 2 en route to a campaign rally in Las Vegas. (With CNS report)
