Each reel not only showcases her fashion sense but also serves as a platform to celebrate Original Pilipino Music (OPM), bringing attention to talented Filipino artists.

Currently gracing the catwalks of Milan, Evangelista is attending prestigious shows such as Fendi and Marni, alongside notable presentations from Max Mara, Prada, Roberto Cavalli and Moschino.

With each reel, she is not only sharing her stylish ensembles but also introducing her vast audience to the beauty and story of Filipino music or OPM.

In a series of recent posts, the global icon has seamlessly blended her love for fashion with her passion for Filipino music. Just days ago, she shared an Instagram reel set to the nostalgic sounds of Kitchie Nadal’s “Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin.”

The following day, she showcased the P-pop energy of SB19’s hit “GENTO” with Sarah Geronimo’s iconic “Tala.”

On the flip side, Evangelista excitedly shared a video on her Instagram on Sept. 17, showcasing her preparation for a fashion show in Milan. In the clip, she opens an invitation from Fendi’s artistic director Kim Jones, reading, “‘Dear Heart, welcome to Milano. Love, Kim Jones.’”

She emphasizes that the moment is unedited while playfully winking at the camera. Her glam team member, Memay Francisco, commented to keep it real, which sparked laughter from Evangelista. This came on the heels of fellow fashionista and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach facing accusations of faking her attendance at New York Fashion Week.

In March, Evangelista shared with Boy Abunda fashion abroad “not a contest” with fellow Filipino stars, humbly acknowledging that these platforms are not solely hers.

She firmly dismissed any notions of competition, stating, “I never thought of it as competitive. It only becomes competitive when you look at it that way, but for me, I’m competitive with myself.”
