Michelle Dee, R’Bonney Gabriel, Kyline Alcantara to strut NY Fashion Week runway

Filipinas are global, much like in the fashion industry, and three of the brightest stars in the Philippines are set to strut the runway in New York Fashion Week for Pinoy designers.
Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, Miss Universe 2021 R’Bonney Gabriel and actress Kyline Alcantara will walk for celebrated Filipino designers Chris Nick and Chynna Mamawal, highlighting Filipino creativity on one of fashion’s biggest stages.

On Sept. 7, Mamawal will debut her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, featuring 20 fashion pieces. Among the models walking for her is Filipino American beauty queen and designer Gabriel, who recently showcased her first Philippine collection, “How to Survive on Land and Sea,” at Bench Fashion Week in Bonifacio Global City.
Despite being in the Philippines for just a few months, Gabriel took on the challenge of sourcing materials, overseeing production and navigating the complexities of the local fashion industry with determination.
Later that evening, Nick will then unveil his Spring/Summer 2025 collection, with Kapuso stars Dee and Alcantara gracing the runway. Both Dee and Alcantara are already in the United States, eagerly preparing for the event.
Dee, who recently signed with an international modeling agency, shared behind-the-scenes snaps from New York on Instagram, captioning her post with a playful “Mabuheyyy.”
Meanwhile, Alcantara celebrated her 22nd birthday in New York, sharing photos from her special day with the caption, “how I celebrated my birthday…” Fans and friends flooded the comments with birthday wishes.
