Olivia Rodrigo, Louis Partridge make red carpet debut at Venice Film Fest
The romance between Olivia Rodrigo and Louis Partridge is making headlines as the couple takes their “relationship” to the next level.
The pair made their public debut at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, stepping out in a coordinated black ensemble that captured everyone’s attention.
Known for his role in “Enola Holmes,” Partridge set social media abuzz with a now-expired Instagram Story featuring a candid black-and-white photo of himself with the Filipino American singer-songwriter, seemingly hard launching their relationship.
The snapshot, which quickly spread online, showcased the duo’s effortless style as they attended the prestigious event.
A fan commented, “[You] gave me a heart attack when u posted you and Olivia in your story, I hope u know.”
The English actor was in Venice to promote his latest project, the Apple TV+ series “Disclaimer,” directed by Oscar-winner Alfonso Cuarón. The series, which premiered its first four episodes at the festival, features a star-studded cast including Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lesley Manville and South Korean actress Hoyeon.
Rumors about Rodrigo and Partridge’s relationship began swirling in late 2023 when they were frequently seen together. The speculation was all but confirmed in December of that year when the two were photographed sharing a kiss in New York City.
The Grammy-winning artist added fuel to the fire earlier this year by affectionately referring to Partridge as her “angel boy” in a birthday message.
Fans have also speculated that Rodrigo’s song “So American” from her Guts deluxe album might be a tribute to Partridge.
The chorus, which includes the lyrics “I’d go anywhere he goes. And he says I’m so American, oh God, I’m gonna marry him if he keeps this s–t up. I might just be in love,” has many convinced that the track reflects her feelings for the actor and hints that she’s deeply in love.
With the US leg of the Guts Tour wrapped up, Rodrigo is now preparing to kick off the Asian portion, starting on Sept. 15 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
The tour will take her to cities like Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Melbourne and Sydney, with fans eagerly hoping for a potential stop in Manila.
