The infection can become severe and even life-threatening for vulnerable individuals, such as young children, the elderly and those with weakened immune systems, according to the FDA.

While the majority recover without medical assistance, salmonella infection has led to 400 deaths and 26,000 hospitalizations annually in the US alone.

Consumers who have purchased these items are advised to return them to the store for a full refund. If you have any questions or need more information, you may contact Palmer Candy Company at 1-800-831-0828 during business hours.
