Canadian pop singer Jessia embraces her journey with new EP
It’s not easy to be okay with every part of oneself, but Canadian pop singer-songwriter Jessia has made embracing every facet of her journey central to her new EP, “Okay With Every Part.”
Through the six-track introspective project, Jessia invites listeners to join her on a path of self-acceptance and resilience, demonstrating that true growth involves acknowledging and finding peace with both the highs and lows of life.

Since her breakthrough with the independent single “Tell Me” in 2020, followed by the impactful release of “I’m Not Pretty” and signing with a major label, Jessia has returned to her roots with the new independent EP, marking a return to her authentic self.
“I feel like I’m kind of back to who I was when I made ‘Tell Me,’ but with a bit more of a platform,” Jessia told Inquirer.net USA. “It’s been really refreshing to go back to my roots.”
The EP highlights Jessia’s evolution as an artist, exploring the challenges she has faced and her growth as an independent musician. She reflected on the impact of losing a label and a relationship within three months, describing a mix of emotions from “shame, rejection, anger, frustration, but also freedom, adventure, passion, and resilience.” Despite the difficulties, she managed to accept and embrace these challenges as part of her journey as an artist and a person.
“I ended up losing myself trying to please everyone. This EP represents my return to what I truly wanted and the sound I envisioned for myself,” she explained.
Jessia also shared that the EP’s title reflects her moment of self-acceptance during a transformative trip to Asia, where she came to terms with everything she had gone through, saying, “It healed me.”
“Asia is one of my favorite places. Touring with One Republic was incredible, but backpacking across Asia helped me reconnect with myself,” she added.
Jessia travels to Asia almost annually, including Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. Although she hasn’t explored the Philippines extensively yet, she plans to visit its islands outside Manila and puts it in her bucket list.
