Taylor Swift drops new versions of collab song with Post Malone
The collaboration between pop superstar Taylor Swift and “Sunflower” singer Post Malone continues with the release of an acoustic version and an additional remix of “Fortnight.”
This new rendition of the Grammy-award-winning singer’s lead single from her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” features a stripped-down arrangement, replacing the original’s synth sounds with mellow guitar strums – perfect for cold, sentimental nights.
Showcasing their versatility and artistic synergy, Swift and Post Malone deliver soft, intimate vocals this time that bring new emotional depth to the track.
Following the song’s initial release in April, Post Malone shared his awe and gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with Swift on both Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
His Instagram caption read, “It’s once in a lifetime that someone like [Taylor Swift] comes into this world. I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey. I love you so much. Thank you, Tay.”
The acoustic version of “Fortnight” was released along with a remix by indie pop duo Cults, now available on all major streaming platforms. The remix version also differs from both the original and acoustic versions as the New York duo has reimagined “Fortnight” with lively instrumentation and a quicker tempo, bringing a fresh twist to the track.

Cults celebrated the remix’s release with an Instagram post, expressing their excitement: “Honored to have been given the opportunity to remix legend @taylorswift song Fortnight. Streaming everywhere now.”
Originally released on April 19, “Fortnight” was the lead single from The Tortured Poets Department, a surprise double album that Swift dropped the same day. The standard edition of her latest album consists of 16 songs.
With two new versions, listeners can now choose whichever version of “Fortnight” they need today.
