BINI’s ‘Pantropiko’ hits 100 million streams on Spotify, YouTube Music
Contrary to the belief that performing groups are often one-hit wonders, the “nation’s girl group” BINI is proving otherwise. Their songs continue to dominate various online streaming platforms, shattering records with every stream.
The group’s summer anthem and breakthrough single, “Pantropiko,” has achieved a milestone, becoming the first BINI song to reach 100 million streams on Spotify.
This achievement coincides with their 100th day as the daily most streamed OPM female artist.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Star Music celebrated the success of BINI’s hit song “Pantropiko,” which has surpassed 100 million streams on both Spotify and YouTube Music.
Additionally, the song peaked at 65th place on YouTube’s Top 100 Daily Global Music Video chart and is currently ranked at 68th.
Not just that as their other song “Salamin, Salamin” is close to 100 million streams with more than 88 million streams as of writing. “Karera” is also in the running with more than 45 million streams. Given these numbers, the group is currently the biggest P-pop group in terms of listenership with 7.4 million monthly listeners.
The “Salamin, Salamin” hitmakers’ success is not limited to the digital realm. The eight-member girl group has already started the regional leg of their BINIverse tour, kicking off with a show in Baguio last Saturday.
Their next stops include Cebu City and General Santos City in July.
Following the regional leg are the North American stops. Jhoanna, Maloi, Stacey, Aiah, Colet, Gwen, Mikha and Sheena will kick off their Canada tour in Vancouver on Aug. 9, followed by Edmonton on Aug. 10, Winnipeg on Aug. 16 and Toronto on Aug. 17.
The group will then culminate their tour with the “Grand BINIverse” day at the Araneta Coliseum on Oct. 4.
In addition to their tour, BINI is set to release their highly anticipated single “Cherry on Top” on July 11. For this release, the group collaborated with renowned producers Skylar Mones and Shintaro Yasuda, known for their work with international stars and K-pop icons. Members Colet and Maloi also contributed to the songwriting process.
BINI’s continued success and record-breaking achievements demonstrate their staying power and growing influence in the music industry, defying the notion that girl groups are fleeting sensations.
