WATCH: Ariana Grande’s ‘The Boy is Mine’ features Penn Badgley
“The boy may be yours, but the pleasure was all mine, [Ariana Grande],” wrote American actor Penn Badgley, expressing his admiration for the pop star and “Yes, and?” hitmaker, Ariana Grande.
The 37-year-old actor recently expressed his gratitude to the singer after starring in her latest music video, “The Boy is Mine.” He thanked the two-time Grammy winner for the opportunity to join her and music icons Brandy and Monica who were news anchors for their cameo appearance in the music video.
The song is from her new album “Eternal Sunshine,” which was released in March. It is a reinterpretation of Brandy and Monica’s 1998 hit with the same title which she had “always” harbored an interest in giving a new twist.
Badgley shared some behind-the-scenes moments on social media, including a photo with Grande and music video director Christian Breslauer.
In the more than six-minute video, Grande’s character is enamored with Badgley’s character, Mayor Max Starling, reminiscent of Batman’s Gotham City.

On the flip side, the “Breakfree” songstress also shared more behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot. Her post featured additional images of her working and candid moments of her chatting with the director.
