Nation’s girl group BINI teases North American tour
The nation’s girl group, BINI, had already visited the United States for a series of shows in the past and virtual media interviews in 2021. This year, the octet is set to stage their own North American tour.
On May 30, at exactly 12 p.m. (PST), their music label, Star Music, dropped a video teaser with the text, “North America, the nation’s girl group beckons! It’s Bloom season,” alongside the logo of the said tour in the US and Canada.
More information about the series of events is yet to be announced. Star Music further wrote in the caption, “The Nation’s Girl group is ready to take flight! First stop: NORTH AMERICA! Stay tuned.”
Their fanbase, Blooms, is quick to spread the exciting news. As of writing, the teaser on X (formerly Twitter) has 30k views and is reaching thousands of retweets and likes, with other users declaring, “BINI world domination!” and “BINI Sikat!”
Recently, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena were featured in the US-based lifestyle publication “Teen Vogue” and were named one of the “12 Girl Groups to Watch in 2024.” The publication further describes the group from ABS-CBN as the girl group “poised to have a killer 2024” and will “completely take over your playlists.”
The Rolling Stone-featured P-Pop group is currently setting their pace with the highest monthly Spotify listenership of 5.9 million. They are also the first P-Pop girl group to surpass the one-million mark on Spotify.
Their ascent comes hot on the heels of the release of their extended play (EP) titled “Talaarawan,” with their key track “Salamin, Salamin” (44.3 million streams) and the summer anthem “Pantropiko” (62 million streams), which had the Philippines in a choke-hold. They also made an appearance on EXO Lay Zhang’s Chinese idol reality show, “Show It All.”
On June 28, 29 and 30, BINI will be having their first-ever sold-out concerts at the New Frontier Theater.
