The inaugural show heralded spring fashion for Filipino Americans and New Yorkers and presented a sneak peek at creations that will take the global stage during the much-awaited New York Fashion Week.

The Midtown Manhattan venue was jam-packed with spectators and VIP guests, who were treated to flowing champagne and delectable ube-inspired hors d’oeuvres served by Kalye NYC.

Marriott Bonvoy Manila, one of the sponsors, kicked off the show with a video of exquisite bridal collection promoting the Philippines as a wedding destination, with the new slogan, “Marry Me at Marriott.”

New York Consul General Senen Mangalile and entrepreneur Joel Cruz of Aficionado cited the significance of cultural representation and the notable contributions of Filipino talents around the world.
