Filipinos on the rise, not just one but seven of them. Filipino American rapper Ez Mil has been recognized as one of the seven Filipinos included in Forbes’ prestigious “30 Under 30 Asia” 2024 list. The artist, whose real name is Ezekiel Miller, is celebrated under the Entertainment and Sports category.

Taking to Instagram, the rapper posted a screenshot of his profile on the list with a caption, “Thank you @forbesasia for including me on your Class 2024 list of “30 Under 30” Entertainment & Sports Category!”

According to the list’s description, Ez Mil first garnered attention with his song “Panalo,” which delves into themes of Philippine nationalism. His collaboration with music legends Dr. Dre and Eminem on the track “Up Down,” featured in his 2023 album “DU4LI7Y: REDUX,” further catapulted him into the limelight.

Forbes’ “30 Under 30 Asia” list highlights young entrepreneurs, artists and changemakers under 30 who are leading transformations in their industries and inspiring their generation.

The selection process for the Forbes list was rigorous, with over 4,000 candidates evaluated by the team and a panel of independent judges.

The six other Filipinos on the list include:

  • Abigail ‘Abi’ Marquez, a food content creator known as the “Lumpia Queen”
  • Arshie Larga, a pharmacist and content creator
  • Chia Amisola, CEO and founder of Developh, a youth-led project preserving Filipino internet history
  • Amanda Cua, founder of Backscoop, a platform covering tech and startup news in Southeast Asia
  • Joshua Serafin, recognized in the arts category
  • Mikaela Helene Reyes, co-founder of Parallax, a Manila-based cross-border payment startup

The “30 Under 30” list spans 10 categories: Entertainment and Sports; Media, Marketing, and Advertising; The Arts; Finance and Venture Capital; Retail and Commerce; Industry, Manufacturing, and Energy; Enterprise Technology; Healthcare and Science; Social Impact; and Consumer Technology.
