The freshly minted events feature grants group members the autonomy to orchestrate birthday bashes, business rendezvous and more.

“Guests can also find the event in the group’s information page, and those going will get a notification when the event is getting close,” WhatsApp said in a statement. “Events are coming to groups that belong to a Community first, and will roll out to all groups over the coming months.”

With events seamlessly integrated into WhatsApp, orchestrating gatherings, whether virtual or physical, has reached levels of simplicity. Any member within the group can initiate an event, facilitating streamlined coordination and attendance tracking.

Attendees can effortlessly pinpoint event particulars within the group’s information page and receive timely reminders as the event draws near. Initially, the events feature will debut within Community-affiliated groups, gradually cascading across all WhatsApp groups in the ensuing months.

Furthermore, WhatsApp is unveiling a feature that allows replies within Announcement Groups, empowering administrators to solicit feedback from members while preserving the streamlined nature of these communication channels.

“Replies are grouped together and minimized so you can see what others have said in context, and notifications are muted for everyone,” the platform added.

In a statement released by WhatsApp, they expressed their unwavering commitment to enriching the feature set available to Communities and groups, equipping users with indispensable tools to streamline their routines and uphold organizational prowess within the platform’s ecosystem.
