“What I really loved is the honesty in this love story,” remarked Gray, setting the stage for an insightful dialogue with the acclaimed stars.
Addressing the underlying message of the film, the TV personality referenced author Robinne Lee’s intent to depict the restlessness experienced by women of a certain age who feel invisible.
“Robinne Lee – whose book was the inspiration for the film, she wanted to express the restlessness that some women may feel when they become a certain age and ‘cease to be seen,’” she stated.
“Anne, how do you feel about your character Solene or the movie itself speaking to women who may resonate with those types of feelings?” inquired Gray, prompting Hathaway to reflect on the significance of her role.
“It’s a fantastic question,” responded Hathaway, hinting at the depth of discussion to come.
The teaser concluded with a glimpse of the interview’s full release on April 25.
