Recently, social media has been buzzing with excitement as more photos surface of the “Hello, Love, Goodbye” cast bonding together, particularly during Bernardo’s birthday celebration.

Moreover, snaps of the GMA actor and Kapamilya actress circulating online have reignited speculation about the fate of their characters (or maybe in real life) and the possibility of a sequel.

Fueling these rumors, director Cathy Garcia-Molina, who directed the original film, shared a video on Instagram featuring herself and Star Cinema’s Creative Head, Carmi Raymundo, on a Hong Kong trip just recently, with the caption “Nostalgic.”

Fans hinted at a possible return to the setting of the first film where Joy, an OFW in Hong Kong, and Ethan, a resident, first met.

One user commented, “Lakas mang-asar ni direk kung alam mo lang direk matagal na kami naghihintay. Amoy part 2 na this nararamdaman ko na.”

Further intensifying speculation, the director and a team from Star Cinema recently visited Calgary, Canada after their trip to Hong Kong, where the character of Bernardo eventually moved at the end of the film.

Former Star Cinema staff member Anilyn Tuco shared a Facebook post confirming Garcia-Molina’s visit to Calgary, along with Raymundo and Star Cinema line producer John Leo Garcia.

The caption of the post read, “My Visitors from Philippines Direk Cathy Molina and Direk Carmi Raymundo With Leo from Star Cinema. Thank you guys for the short visit [to] my home sweet home.”

The visit has left fans wondering if it signifies the beginning stages of production for a sequel.

In “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” the ending saw Joy prioritizing her family over her budding romance with Ethan. The film left audiences emotionally invested in the characters’ journeys, eager to see what the future holds for them.

As speculation continues to mount, fans are hopeful that the creative minds behind “Hello, Love, Goodbye” will soon confirm whether a sequel is indeed in the works. Until then, audiences remain on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the next chapter in Joy and Ethan’s complex love story.
