Filipino American star of “High School Musical” Vanessa Hudgens brought an endearing surprise to the 2024 Oscars red carpet as she revealed her pregnancy with husband and baseball player, Cole Tucker.

Her pregnancy debut on the red carpet in a sleek, form-fitting black dress showcased her baby bump, marking a significant moment for the actress and singer as she’s expecting her first child.

Despite recent rumors swirling around her pregnancy, Hudgens had adamantly dismissed them in previous months, speaking out against invasive comments about her body and advocating for women’s autonomy over their own stories.

Addressing the issue on the “She Pivots” podcast, Hudgens emphasized the need for sensitivity and mindfulness, recounting her own experiences with disrespectful public speculation. She urged against making assumptions, particularly when it comes to scrutinizing women’s bodies.

“I literally just had a run-in with the public taking control over their opinion of me in a way that was disrespectful,” she asserted, reflecting on the hurtful comments she had faced. “Don’t make assumptions in all aspects of life, but especially over other women’s bodies.”

Hudgens and Tucker sealed their love in a private ceremony in Mexico last December, following three years of courtship, and are now awaiting the arrival of their bundle of joy.

Alongside Julianne Hough, she co-hosted this year’s 9th Academy Awards’ official pre-show.
