As the Oscars 2024 approaches, cinephiles around the globe are gearing up for the most prestigious event in the film industry. While attending the Oscars may be a distant dream for many, the thrill of the evening can be felt from the comfort of our homes through live streaming.

Set to take place on March 10 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, this year’s Academy Awards promises an unforgettable evening filled with star-studded glamor and unparalleled talent.

While this year’s spotlight shines on “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer,” all eyes within the Filipino American community are also fixed on cinematographer Matthew “Matty” Libatique, whose acclaimed contributions to films such as “Black Swan” and “A Star Is Born” have earned him prior nominations, and with his latest endeavor, “Maestro,” he’s poised for yet another shot at the coveted golden statuette.

So, where can we watch this year’s Oscars?

Tune in to ABC at the new, earlier time slot of 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 10, to catch the live broadcast of the 96th Academy Awards.

Alternatively, viewers can opt for online streaming services such as Hulu, YouTubeTV, AT&T TV, and FuboTV, or leverage their Disney+ subscriptions for exclusive access to the Oscars livestream on March 11 (PST), bringing the allure of Hollywood’s grandest night to global audiences.

Disney+ has also announced plans for a live stream of the pre-show red carpet at 6:30 a.m., followed by the awards ceremony at 7:00 a.m.

Additionally, entertainment site E! will provide comprehensive Oscars 2024 coverage throughout the day, including “E! Brunch at the Oscars” at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT, “Live from E!: The Oscars” red carpet show at 4 p.m. ET/1 PT, and a 30-minute ABC pre-show at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 PT prior to the live awards presentation.

As anticipation builds, it’s worth noting that Jimmy Kimmel is slated to host the Academy Awards for the fourth time, following his previous engagements in 2017, 2018 and 2023.
