Apl.de.Ap, Sandara Park join forces for new song ‘2 Proud’
One common thing about Black Eyed Peas member Apl.de.Ap and K-pop star Sandara Park is that both are proudly Filipinos. Despite their global success, both have maintained a steadfast connection to the Philippines, coming in and out the country.
This time, the two internationally renowned artists are poised to unveil their latest collaborative musical offering, “2 Proud,” on March 8. Their shared affection for the Philippines was evident as they took to Instagram to reveal the teaser video for their upcoming single.

In the video, Apl.de.Ap is seen wearing a barong, where he radiated excitement in the comment section as he declared, “Can’t wait to have you watch [the MV] and play on repeat.”
This collaboration, with the music video directed by Ben Mor, marks a long-awaited reunion for Apl.de.Ap and Park since their appearance on Will.i.am’s track “Gettin’ Dumb” in 2013, during Park’s tenure with the iconic K-pop girl group 2NE1.
For Park, “2 Proud” follows her solo debut in South Korea with her first extended play, featuring her single “Festival.” Having initially risen to prominence in the Philippines through her music and acting endeavors, Park continues to make waves as a solo artist in the K-pop scene.
A recent visit to Manila for an endorsement activity and her participation in the 2024 Paris Fashion Week only added fuel to the excitement surrounding Park’s multifaceted career.
