Liza Soberano stuns at SAG Awards debut
One thing about Liza Soberano? Her face card never declines.
And the Filipino American star’s showing this once again as she graced the 30th annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards on Feb. 25 (PST) at Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall, Los Angeles, California.
Dressed in a gown from Pamella Roland’s pre-fall 2024 collection and styled by Meave Reilly, the “Lisa Frankenstein” actress took to Instagram to share her excitement, captioning her post with, “My first [SAG Awards]! Thanks for having me [Instagram].”

Soberano’s sequined bodice, elegantly paired with a champagne-toned skirt, drew admiration from the American entertainment news outlet E! Entertainment, who tweeted, “I’d take [Liza Soberano] as my sister any day,” a sentiment mirrored by fans in the comment section.

They further added on the thread that they love the positivity in the comment section and replied with a star emoji to one user who tweeted, “Liza Our Hollywood Star!!!!”
During the event, as shared on Soberano’s Instagram stories, the “Alone/Together” lead was seen mingling with fellow stars, including Auli’i Cravalho, best known for voicing the Disney character “Moana,” and playing Janis ‘Imi’ike in the 2024 adaptation of “Mean Girls,” as well as Sherry Cola from “Joy Ride,” who was seated beside her.
The SAG Awards, streamed on Netflix, honor excellence in both film and television, with winners chosen by industry peers.
Robert Downey Jr. won Best Supporting Actor for “Oppenheimer,” while Steven Yeun and Ali Wong were awarded Best Actor and Actress in a Limited Series, while Barbra Streisand received the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award.
