In 2021, Filipino-American beauty queen and TV personality Katrina Dimaranan returned to the Philippine pageantry scene, vying for the Miss Universe Philippines crown. She proved once again to be a force to be reckoned with as she secured the Miss Universe Philippines Tourism title.
Fast forward to 2023 and the accomplished beauty queen has won once again—this time, not in a pageant but in love as she says ‘yes’ to her best friend-turned-fiancé.
Dimaranan took to Instagram and announced her engagement to partner Robby Rodriguez just days before the dawn of the new year. The post featured a series of photos of the beach proposal that took place in Mexico, with a title “The One Where She Says Yes.”

In a joint statement, the couple conveyed their shared joy, with Dimaranan saying, “I have always said love is friendship on fire and now I get to call my bestfriend, my FIANCÉ!”
The Miss Supranational 2018 first runner-up went on to share their longstanding dreams and aspirations for the future, expressing gratitude that they could now traverse this exciting journey together.
“We have always talked about how we envisioned our future together and our plans and goals that we couldn’t wait to conquer. But it feels so surreal that I can officially say that I can’t wait to spend the rest of forever with you!” she wrote.
