Salamat Cookies’ holiday set puts a twist on Filipino-American Christmas flavors
Looking for a twist on Filipino holiday sweet treats? Salamat Cookies may have whipped up exactly what you’re looking for. The Indianapolis-based Filipino-inspired cookie pop-up has dropped a Pasko menu featuring new holiday flavors that you’ll want to check out.
Salamat’s Founder and CEO Mike Francis is a Filipino-African American who learned how to bake during the COVID-19 lockdown. The small business has gained traction and started sharing its exciting flavors nationwide. It has even been featured on FOX59 and other local news channels.
Now, Salamat is getting ready to ship Christmas treats by Dec. 22. Its new holiday six-pack includes three new flavors along with its classics. Get a taste of a Filipino-American Christmas handa from these flavors:
- Peppermint Hot Cocoa made with Belgian chocolate and bits of candy cane and marshmallows
- The Landito made with Oreo cookies, Rice Krispies Treats, and white chocolate chips
- Merry Cherry Pistachio made with pistachios, dried cherries, white chocolate and sea salt
- Whoa Philippine Mango made with Philippine mango, oatmeal, and white chocolate chips
- Space Yam! made with ube jam, toasted coconut, and white chocolate
- Buko Pan-Dayumm! made with pandan extract, toasted coconut, and nata de coco

This month, Salamat even brought its cookies and blondies to the Philippines for the first time at pop-ups hosted at Yardstick Coffee Rockwell and the Spectrum Holiday Fair at One Ayala.
