Catch these Fil-Am ‘The Voice’ season 24 alums in this Hawaii show
When people root for their contest bets, a sudden elimination usually doesn’t stop them from being invested in their favorite artists’ craft. Good thing fans of former “The Voice” hopefuls Jason Arcilla and Kaylee Shimizu have something to look forward to this holiday season.
Thanks to Grand Wailea and Cravalho Entertainment, you have a chance to catch the two fan favorites live on Dec. 22 at 6:30 p.m. These talented Hawaii-based artists with Filipino roots are taking the stage in Molokini Garden at Maui’s Grand Wailea for an “intimate sunset performance” plus an “evening of music for all ages,” according to the event page.
Attendees can either watch in the general admission or the VIP section—the latter comes with a meet and greet session with Arcilla and one beverage.
Arcilla shared the news to his followers on Instagram, where he promised that the night will be filled with “magic.”

“Come celebrate Hawaii with us,” he said in the caption, also mentioning special guest and “little sister” Shimizu and Inna Vision, a Maui-based reggae band who brings Hawaii reggae to the global stage.
Eighteen-year-old Shimizu also happily unveiled the details of the show to her fans on the platform. “Ahh I’m so excited to be performing live in MAUI this month as a special guest at @jasonarcillamaui homecoming album release concert!!!” she wrote. “It’s gonna be such a great night with great entertainment!!!”
Stellar vocalist Shimizu earned a dedicated fanbase after delivering one powerful performance after another in “The Voice,” where she also clinched a four-chair turn in the auditions. Her departure from the competition just before the Live Shows left viewers disappointed—some of them even questioned her coach John Legend’s decisions.
Arcilla, who’s a musician-slash-songwriter-slash-producer tackling the R&B and reggae soundscape, was also a hopeful in the contest’s 24th season. Coming from Gwen Stefani’s team, he might have been eliminated after the Battle rounds, but his moments onstage remain well-loved. Case in point: When he took his own spin on Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” and sent coaches amazed enough to persistently win him over.
