It’s not even Christmas yet but NFL player Camryn Bynum has set the holiday vibes early for a fundraising event for his nonprofit organization Bynum Faith Foundation.

While it’s no secret that the Vikings’ Free Safety is the only Filipino playing in NFL, his golden heart is also out in the world. Through his foundation, he’s on a mission to help Filipino communities in need.

After basking in the victory of 3-0 win in Las Vegas, Bynum came back to Twin Cities to host a Filipino fiesta fundraiser at Metro State University on December 11.

Attendees had fun with good food, music, and the Filipino party must-have — karaoke. Bynum himself graced the dance floor with a traditional Filipino folklore dance, “Tinikling.”

Camryn Bynum’s philanthropic digs

Armed with more than just his defensive skills, he’s here on a mission — championing the cause with his Bynum Family Faith Foundation.

In an interview with Fox 9 during the event, he shared his inspiration behind this philanthropic goal. “We started helping out with our church in the Philippines and helping church victims. We just realized our heart to serve people.”

However, even with his charity feats aiming to help the needy, Bynum also has some unanswered prayers.

Last October, in a post-game interview, he recapped the team’s victory and asked for help to bring his wife from the Philippines who was denied a US visa multiple times. But thanks to his good heart, he was reunited with his wife last November 16, 2023 when she attained her US visa.

On December 16, Camryn Bynum is set for another heartwarming event in Corona, California — this time with San Francisco 49ers Drake Jackson. The two are teaming up bringing in their respective organizations to give a Christmas shopping spree for kids.
