Filipino-Canadian pop-punk artist Mico is surely the one to turn to if you need someone who cares.

Celebrating his birthday on Dec. 6, the “Another Soul” singer-songwriter has gifted his fans with a brand new EP titled “The Afterparty.”

The EP features his recently released songs “Treat Your Friends,” “Better,” and “Twenty-something.”

The artist took to Instagram to share the exciting news with his followers, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming birthday wishes and the support he received throughout the year.

“Thank you for all of the birthday wishes. I don’t really know why I’m giving out gifts on my own birthday, but you guys have made everything this year so worth it that I feel like you deserve one,” he wrote.

In the same post, Mico also announced that the Toronto show and afterparty scheduled on Dec. 7 marks his final performance for the next couple of months.

Reflecting on the past three years dedicated to nonstop music, he shared, “I’ve spent the last 3 years of my life non-stop towards music, and I think I need to be a human for a little bit. We’re gonna make sure it’s a hell of a send-off celebration, and I would love to see you all there.”

The Filipino artist known for his soulful music has had an incredible year, marked by the release of 10 songs, two successful tours, and the formation of a devoted fan base referred to as “Amicos.”

Amicos can expect a memorable evening at the Toronto show as Mico bids farewell for a well-deserved break. 

The EP is now available for streaming. As he takes a step back to embrace being human, it’s clear that Mico’s artistic journey is far from over, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what the future holds for this talented Fil-Canadian artist.
