In a serendipitous cosmic alignment of music and celestial wonders, P-pop boy group BGYO released their latest special single, “Bulalakaw,” on Nov. 24, the very night when the NASA Hubble Space Telescope unveiled a breathtaking view of the Orion Nebula.

Besides covering the chorus of NSYNC’s “Better Place” for the “Trolls Band Together” movie just this month, Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki, and Nate marked their official return to the music scene with this electronic ballad.

Following their 2022 sophomore album “Be Us,” the said single was penned by Kiko Salazar and brought to life under the production of Jonathan Manalo.

Within the first 24 hours of its release, the song, which weaves a narrative of longing and encapsulates the sentiment of wishing loved ones would remain close to the heart, soared to the top spot on iTunes charts in multiple countries.

Shared by Star Music on X, the song peaked at No. 1 in the Philippines, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, No. 4 in Hong Kong, and No. 107 in Thailand’s Pop Songs Chart.

Moreover, it was also seen by the ACEs (their fans) that “Bulalakaw” debuted at No. 70 on iTunes Canada Pop Singles chart and No. 143 on the Worldwide 200 Singles chart.

The release sparked for what seemed like a digital constellation as fans rallied behind the “Aces of P-pop,” propelling the tagline NAKAABANG SA BULALAKAW to the top of X’s trending topics.

After the release, BGYO member JL tweeted, “Nakailang ulit kayo?” [How many times did you repeat it?] and expressed gratitude to fans for patiently waiting and listening to the song.

Making the repeated streaming of the track even more convenient, the performance video of “Bulalakaw” is now available on YouTube, and the song can be downloaded on various digital platforms.
