For what? His bizarre outfit choice.
Filipino-American NBA star Jordan Clarkson was the star in the Philippines’ win against China for the FIBA World Cup 2023, but tables have turned it seems at least when it comes to his fashion choices.
Setting the Crypto.com Arena ablaze before the Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers game on Tuesday night is Clarkson with his nautical-themed pre-game attire.
Sporting a coat and a captain’s hat that seemed freshly out of a pirate movie, the Jazz point guard made a grand entrance that turned heads and earned some backlash.
Former NBA player and TNT analyst Charles Barkley couldn’t resist joking. “Did Jordan miss the memo? Halloween was two weeks ago, my friend!” he quipped on NBA on TNT.

Shaquille O’Neal compared his attire to a conquistador while Kenny Smith announced, “Pirates of the Caribbean!” The TNT crew’s candid reactions shifted the fashion faux pas into a side splitting show.
Even the NBA League commented with a hat emoji.
