Liza Soberano dives into the K-pop world with ‘Hwaiting’ S4 appearance
As Filipina-American actress Liza Soberano continues to explore opportunities in South Korea, she is now embarking on an upcoming Korean web series alongside Korean stars.
The Filipina actress is set to join the cast in the newest season of the hit online show “Hwaiting,” as announced by the show’s production company on Nov. 21.
Widely recognized for its podcasts featuring several K-pop artists, DIVE Studios took to their social media pages to share the news, with a caption, “Your favorite show is BACK! Get ready for the most exciting season of HWAITING yet!”

This season’s lineup includes not only the 25-year-old actress but also “House on a Hill” singer Eric Nam as the main host, Nancy (formerly of Momoland), JinJin of Astro, and Jacob and Kevin from The Boyz.
In her Instagram Story, the “Forevermore” and “Dolce Amore” lead star shared her enthusiasm for the series, expressing that filming the show was an absolute blast.
“Had a great time shooting this. Can’t wait for everyone to see it!” she exclaimed.
For those unfamiliar, “Hwaiting” is a web show where the cast immerses themselves in a series of games, providing viewers with a blend of entertainment and friendly competition.
The format of the series involves the lineup competing in different games each episode. The participant accumulating the highest points is declared the winner, while the losers face entertaining punishments.
The first season debuted in 2020 where it featured former DAY6 member Jae Park, KARD’s BM, f(x)’s Amber Liu, BtoB’s Peniel Shin, Jamie Park, P1Harmony’s Keeho, and Jiung.
