The 15-minute short film, written, directed, and produced by Moore, had its world premiere at the 23rd Beverly Hills Film Festival, where it received awards for “Best Short Film” and “Best Editing” from the Grand Jury.
The film centers around the story of a Filipino “manong” (a term often used to refer to older Filipinos) who left his homeland in pursuit of a better life in the United States. However, as he navigates the challenges of life in a new country and grapples with his own unfulfilled dreams, he discovers a newfound sense of purpose by teaching his grandson how to dance.
An emotionally moving cinematic experience awaits attendees, as the film stands as a testament to Moore’s storytelling prowess and his ability to create compelling narratives that resonate with audiences from all walks of life.
