10-year-old Fil-Am is the latest Golden State Warriors Junior Jam recruit
Twenty-three dancers made it to the Golden State Warriors (GSW) Junior Jam team, and one of them is 10-year-old Filipino-American Jordan Deang.
Deang is one of the more than 90 kids aged 9 to 14 years old who tried out for the limited spots on the Junior Jam Squad. And this young achiever made it after his second try to guarantee his spotlight in Golden State Warriors’ halftime show at Chase Center in San Francisco, California
Junior Jam Squad is the GSW’s official dance group that performs in their games together with the Hardwood Classics, the GSW dance group for 55 years and older.

“This team is going to bring the fire this season, we can’t wait to watch them shine and grow,” they write on the website.
Although Deang might be new to dancing as he just started two years ago, this US-born and raised kid had already earned awards from dance conventions Kaos and Monsters Dance.

From Union City to the GSW home court
Just a few kilometers away from Union City, California where he lives, Deang will soon showcase his killer moves at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Aside from dancing, Jordan Deang also has some basketball skills, as he played in St. Anne’s church league last season.
Watch out for this name—we have a feeling we’ll be hearing more from him in the future.
