Fil-Am musical director Troy Laureta wants to collab with SB19
Even without requesting a detailed database, those who have an inkling of the current Filipino pop culture trajectory know how massive SB19’s fanbase (a.k.a. the A’TIN) is. Even icons are supporting these icons. Remember when Hayley Williams called Pablo’s cover of “Turn It Off” by Paramore “stunning”? The P-pop sensation’s sentimental ballad “Mapa” also made Thai actor Jirakit Thawornwong cry.
Now, it looks like someone new has been added to the list. On X (formerly Twitter), award-winning Filipino-American musical director Troy Laureta expressed his admiration for the P-pop phenom.
“SB19 is so bad ass. Ummmm can we please do a record together boys???” he said, tagging SB19 and opening up the idea of possibly being on the musical director’s chair of one of their shows, or “somethinggggg.”

At the end of the post, the Los Angeles-based record producer and songwriter even declared himself a “fan.”
Because of this, supporters of the five-member outfit have been quick to respond to Troy Laureta’s shoutout, sending him possible leads to make the collaboration happen.
