The SB19 boys tour (and unwind with) you in Canada in this episode

To say that SB19 has had a packed year is an understatement.

The five-piece group—slash A’TIN’s favorite boys—dropped their newest EP “Pagtatag!” and took over the online sphere with soulful music videos and the infectious “Gento” choreography. To top those off, the P-pop phenoms even kicked off their “Pagtatag!” world tour, which covered cities and provinces in the Philippines, and even concert halls in the US and Canada.

To those who unfortunately weren’t able to catch Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin live, the next best thing would probably be checking out their highlights and living vicariously through the attendees and through posts shared on SB19’s official social media accounts (or even the North America highlights list we previously created).

But what could be more magical than well-edited fancams and tear-jerker snapshots? It’s being able to witness the members in a more relaxed state away from the spotlight, in their downtime and just having fun.

Well, that’s what their mini video series “Showbreak F!ve” is for. In its previous episodes, these talented individuals got competitive with Pictionary, immersed in a playful set of challenges, and embraced their inner child energy at Disneyland. Now in their latest release, SB19 is in Canada, the last leg of their massive tour.

But instead of being confined in a room cozy enough for a well-deserved break, the boys become our tour guides for a day in Alberta. If you frequently see the group under flashing lights, crowded spaces, and everything glamorous, watching episode four entitled “Kailangan Kong Magpahinga,” is a breath of (literally) fresh air.

“Mukhang peke, akala mo painting (It looks fake, you’d think it’s a painting),” Josh quips while looking at the scenery on the way to Lake Louise in Banff. Meanwhile, Ken remarks that it’s “really cool, almost as cool as me.”

The relaxing atmosphere continues as the sweater-clad members settle on a rocky spot and throw their signature banters to each other. They even literally pause to “admire” the scenery behind them, which feels like a good way to unwind. “Sa episode na ‘to, kailangan magpahinga lang kami (In this episode, we really just need to rest),” Pablo—who exudes leader energy throughout the video—declares.

But that doesn’t mean they’re skipping on the fun and chaos. In fact, they take on “parlor games” this time, like “Bulong: Sino Ang Nakarinig?” and “Ilaw-Rawan,” which reveal their different personalities.

Ken assuming symbolisms, Stell overthinking and being frustrated, and Justin saying, “Hindi pa gumagana brain cells ko (My brain cells still aren’t working)” are all relatable. Before you know it, Josh is having an impromptu “Wild Tonight” performance via push-ups, too.
