Houston buzzes with Fil-Ams’ post-pandemic art fest
This year’s “Lumikha” art show in Houston, Texas, brought together a variety of artists, dancers, muralists and singers to spread “the healing power of creativity” with hundreds of arts enthusiasts on Saturday, Sept. 23.
The event whose theme “We Are Rising” showcased the works of more than 35 Filipino and Asian American artists and performers.

The nonprofit UniPro Texas hosted the fourth annual storytelling-art appreciation event at The Orange Show Center at 2401 Munger Street, Houston.
“This year’s Lumikhâ Arts Showcase experience aims to bring people together, showcasing the healing power of creativity,” said UniPro’s 2023 Lumikhâ Creative Director Christian Toledo.
