Teen in Pennsylvania stabs dead Fil-Am ex-girlfriend and her mother — police
A Philippine-born mother and her Filipino American daughter were stabbed to death in their home allegedly by the daughter’s teenage ex-boyfriend Wednesday, Sept. 13.
Police found the bodies of Rosalyn Siobal Glass, 39, and her daughter, Rianna Lynn, 16, in their North Catasauqua, Pennsylvania home on the 1100 block of Railroad Street at 7:35 a.m.
John Bradley, 17, of Schnecksville, Pennsylvania is charged with two counts of criminal homicide and one count of theft of motor vehicle.
Bradley allegedly stole Rosalyn Glass’ car and then crashed it, injuring himself and a 14-year-old passenger at around 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14. Police found a stained double edged knife and a stained shirt at the scene of the crash. The two were taken to separate hospitals.
Security videos reportedly show Bradley and the 14-year-old girl in front of the Glasses’ residence the night of Wednesday, Sept. 13. Police have not disclosed if the girl with Bradley also faced charges.
Bradley had previously dated Rianna but they broke up in August. According to investigators, Rianna texted a friend on Sept. 13 saying she couldn’t get Bradley to leave her home.
Rosalyn, also known as “Rose,” was born in Pangasinan, Philippines, and worked at iHerb in Easton, Pennsylvania. She was also a member of Grace Christian Fellowship in Bethlehem.
Daughter Rianna was born in Louisiana and was a junior at Northampton High School. Both mother and daughter reportedly had a passion for dance.
A GoFundMe page was opened to help the victims’ family members cover funeral expenses. A relative said all leftover funds will be donated to Turning Point of Lehigh Valley in Rianna Glass’ memory.
