Filipino talents bag 300+ medals at ‘Talent Olympics’ in California
If we’re talking about world-class talents, then Filipinos are definitely up there on the list.
Recently, Filipinos proved once again that they have what it takes in the world of performing arts when Team Philippines won 362 medals at the 26th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held on Aug. 6 in California.
This dominating performance at the Talent Olympics seems like a continuation of last year’s showcase when the country bagged a total of 266 awards and medals.
In a resounding display of artistic prowess, Team Philippines emerged as the undeniable stars of the event, waving the Philippine flag with pride.

And as if these accolades weren’t enough, the team also earned seven scholarships from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

About WCOPA
WCOPA isn’t just a simple competition—it’s an arena where talents from more than 70 countries unite to show their masteries in singing, dancing, acting, and various acts in the performing arts.
Team Philippines also demonstrated their talents after passing the panel of judges composed of seasoned talent managers, coaches, and casting directors—most of whom are award-winning, too.
With another array of accolades this year, we won’t be surprised if one of these talents will be gracing the Oscars’ carpet someday.
