Step into the pink glam, neon dreams, and high-energy beats when you hit this gym in downtown LA.

PiinkPilates by the dynamic Chrissa “Sparkles” Villanueva, a first-gen Filipino American, comedian, and content creator, will transport you to Barbie World.

While Greta Gerwig’s new movie Barbie makes waves, this LA gym is taking the gym world by storm. In this pink wonderland, Pilates collaboration where HIIT and fitness meet glamour, it builds a fitness phenomenon that’s transforming, getting all sweaty with dazzle.

In the bustling streets of Los Angeles, California, Villanueva, the vibrant founder of PiinkPilates, is making noise with her unique stance on fitness. As a Fil-Am, Barbie is one of the symbols of her American dream.

Furthermore, it’s not just Barbie’s legendary looks that captured her as a child. But it’s also the endless potential the iconic doll presents.

Now, Villanueva has changed from heels to sneakers and is ready to get on a mission — encourage others to welcome their individuality and break out the norms regarding traditional workouts.

The design winds up an atmosphere of sheer, whimsical vibe. But don’t get fooled by the charming decor; this workout space means business. Only if you want to achieve that Barbie-esque waistline, this LA gym is ready to give you that.

Villanueva’s fast-paced, 45-minute class combines high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and Pilates. It is designed to enhance core strength while keeping your heart rate surging from start to finish.

As you dive into an energetic routine, it’ll leave you coaching for your breath, but you’ll feel more powerful. The Fil-Am owner guides her clients through a set of energetic moves.

These include lunges, planks, squats, double-leg lifts, and burpees. You’ll use your cotton-candy-colored Bala equipment to amp up the intensity.

All these exhilarating moves with Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, and Charlie XCX playlists in the background will give you the best sweat session ever, as confirmed by TZR report.

For Villanueva, PiinkPilates isn’t just your average fitness class. But it’s also a space where people can embrace their inner Barbie.

Her infectious energy and enthusiasm create a workout environment where everyone can focus on personal growth. The LA gym owner said, “You can dress cute for your workout, take photos, bring your friends for a hang, and escape into a fantasy world where you can focus on yourself.”

The Birth of PiinkPilates

Behind the glam and glitter is a background story of transformation and resilience. Rising from divorce and rediscovering herself, Villanueva builds this venture from her personal journeys.

After spending 10 years teaching at several LA gyms, she decided to build her own, just as Builder Barbie constructed her Dreamhouse. She bravely decided to go for it and took a leap of faith, unleashing her inner businesswoman.

The Fil-Am owner also aims to build an environment where everyone can sweat, laugh and connect with others on the same fitness journey. After the class, snap your photos and post that content inside a supersized Barbie dollhouse — because, as they say, “Pics or it didn’t happen, right?”
