Girl, 17, clings to life in Hawaii after being shot in the head
HONOLULU — A 17-year-old girl is clinging to life after she was shot in the head in Maili, Oahu on Saturday night, June 17.
Richianna DeGuzman was shot in the back of the head outside a park and was rushed to a trauma hospital where she was placed on life support. Doctors say she is unresponsive.
According to Police investigators, DeGuzman was with three other people when a gray SUV pulled up. A male from the group in the van was seen shooting at the victim’s group, striking the juvenile female. The shooter’s group then fled.

De Guzman’s family told news media that Richianna will be graduating next year and was about to start her first job on Monday.
Richianna’s family is pleading for justice and hoping that a miracle would save her life.
There has been an outcry against the recent spike in gun violence in the state.
