‘Oras de Peligro’ in Toronto June 25
TORONTO—Oras de Peligro, or The Hour of Danger, a film directed by Joel Lamangan and written by Bonifacio Ilagan and Eric Ramos, will hold its Toronto premiere on June 25.
Set against the backdrop of the EDSA People’s Power Revolution, the movie portrays a jeepney driver’s family struggling to make ends meet even as their lives are enmeshed with the rallies, protests, and marches during the last days of President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.’s dictatorial rule.

Organizing the event are Malaya Canada with community partners: Bayan Canada, Mandamus Group, Anakbayan Canada, Canada Philippines Solidarity Group (CPSO), National Union of Journalists – Canada, FCWJNet, Bicol Canada Community Association, Kabayan – Angat Buhay, Philippine Advancement Through Arts and Culture (PATAC), and University of the Philippines Alumni Association Toronto (UPAAT).
