High school student, 19, arrested after social media bullying of disabled peer
A 19-year-old high school student in Oahu, Hawaii was arrested for videotaping a naked disabled minor who was using the school’s comfort room and posting the video on social media.
Cagen Huddy-Esperanza was arrested Wednesday, June 14 after an Oahu grand jury issued a bench warrant on two counts of first degree privacy violation and first degree privacy violation, with disclosure of image or video without consent.
The charges are Class C felonies punishable by up to five years in prison and $10,000 in fines. Esperanza was released on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to be in court on Monday.

The incident occurred on April 17 but did not come to light until last month when the victim’s mother protested on her Facebook page.
The Department of Education said Campbell High School investigated the incident and took what it called “appropriate action.”
