SAN FRANCISCO – A memorial mass for the late Secretary of Foreign Affairs Albert F. del Rosario was held on May 4 at the Kalayaan Hall, Philippine Center here.

The mass was hosted by the Philippine Consulate General, in coordination with Colma, California Mayor Joanne del Rosario.

Fr. Mark Reburiano and Fr. Arnold Zamora concelebrated the mass, which was attended by Consulate officials and staff, family members, relatives, friends and colleagues of Mayor del Rosario, and members of the Filipino community in the Bay Area.

Secretary Albert F. del Rosario was the Philippines’ Secretary of Foreign Affairs from 2011 to 2016, and served as Philippine Ambassador to the United States from 2001 to 2006. He passed away while en route to San Francisco.

Albert “Buddy” del Rosario, Jr. and other family members of the del Rosario Family also attended via Zoom.

A tribute video of Ambassador del Rosario, by the Department of Foreign Affairs, was played after the mass, followed by remarks from Mayor del Rosario and Buddy del Rosario on behalf of the del Rosario family.
