10 Celebrities Reimagined In a Concrete Eating Contest
Artificial intelligence (AI) continues to push boundaries and create strange and bizarre content. A series of images depicting an “annual celebrity concrete eating contest” has gone viral and taken over the internet.
A Reddit user uploaded this viral post via the weird DALL-E subreddit. It included Midjourney-generated images of famous people like Pope Francis, Chris Pratt, Margot Robbie, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, Lizzo, and Ariana Grande consuming concrete.
When asked why he thought of such an idea, the post creator said, “There is already an existing concrete eating contest. I just figured having one with celebrities would be really funny.”
Danny Devito, Elon Musk, Keanu Reeves, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump look disgusted while consuming the concrete. As accurate as these generated images are, it is an excellent example of the uncanny valley that AI technology is wrapped around.
Of all the photos generated, 10 stood out and were so realistic you could barely tell.
Elon Musk
For some inexplicable reason, Elon looks like he’s enjoying eating concrete; he probably asked for more afterward. Midjourney did a perfect job generating accurate body size on this one.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
Without the name stated, you wouldn’t have been able to guess who it was. The AI didn’t do such a decent job on this one. Plus, we can’t place our hands on what the facial expression is.

Will Smith
This one is amusing. Why is it that every time AI depicts Will Smith eating anything, he always looks like he’s on the verge of starvation?
Lebron James
We all know that Lebron is always chill, so it’s understandable why he’ll still look so cool eating concrete.
Keanu Reeves
Keanu always has that passionate look in every picture I’ve seen, and you can’t just help but love that about him. If Keanu was ever caught eating concrete, I bet this is how he’ll be dressed.
John Cena
That rigid “I’ve got this” look is what you’d expect from ex-WWE champion John Cena.
Joe Biden
This image satisfies people’s thirst to see people high in power doing regular stuff or even beneath normal things.
Kanye West
I can see Kanye choosing to eat a brick of concrete. It seems like the kind of thing Kanye would do.
Donald Trump
AI always gets Donald Trump accurately; this might be because he has so many images online, but this one is so accurate. He looks like if he doesn’t win, he’s probably going to lead a protest.
Pope Francis
We can’t say why, but an AI-generated series can only be complete with a glimpse of the Pope.

Commenters noted that the AI technology had difficulty generating accurate hand sizes and finger count but was impressed with how well Trump and the Pope were accurately depicted.
“They’re eating concrete exactly how I imagine they would,” one commenter jokes.
Looks like the Pope came out first in this year’s contest!
Despite the unrealistic nature of the images, the fact that they look so realistic is causing concern for some.
The world of art is already experiencing the impact of the swift progress of AI technology. A recent story by PetaPixel highlighted an AI-generated image winning an award at the Sony World Photography Awards, signaling a new era for machine learning technology.
Although the effects of AI-generated content are still being explored, it is evident that it can change our approach to producing and consuming media. As the boundaries of AI technology continue to be pushed, it is crucial to consider the ethical implications of what we create.
The viral nature of the celebrity concrete eating contest images highlights the power and reach of AI-generated content and the potential impact it could have on society.
