The internet has seen a new trailer for the children’s iconic toy film “Barbie.” Popularly known for its pink aesthetic, the movie is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated musical fantasy film produced by Universal Pictures and released by 20th Century Fox.

The new drama is set in the Barbie universe, with Margot Robbie playing the titular character.

In a conversation with Carey Mulligan, Margot said she has been developing the project with LuckyChap for four or five years, and they couldn’t have asked for a better director than Greta Gerwig. She was one of their top choices.

The producers also reimagined Barbie as a mermaid. Pop star Dua Lipa will show her unique take on the famous doll. She has been promoting the film while in London.

The singer shared an image of herself on Instagram, captioning it: “This Barbie is a mermaid #BarbieTheMovie.” The movie was filmed in a special effects studio, using special effects to make her look as good as possible on screen.

Fans of Barbie should anticipate John Cena’s appearance once the film is released in cinemas in July 2033.
